The second grade class of Kristin Kempf at Simon Kenton Elementary School recently coordinated a Patriot Day project in honor of Septmember 11 that featured a handcrafted poster and greeting cards. The poster---along with 469 cards---is being sent to United States military troops on Sept. 11, with the help of soldiersangels.org. The cards being sent were made by students in grades kindergarten through fourth or purchased and donated by students' families.
