Do you need to slash your food bill? I've been there, more than once. I've had to track every penny and experiment with cheap cuts of meat I didn't know how to cook and new vegetables I hadn't eaten before. So I started keeping notes on our favorites recipes. I learned what to do with a bag of dried beans (try these tasty pinto beans), how to make my own pizza instead of spending $20 on takeout, and how to use up leftovers with something tasty like fried rice or burritos.

How to Cook a Turkey

Looking for some ideas on how to cook a turkey? If you've got one you can turn over, try this turkey recipe. It takes more attention in the kitchen but is fantastic. There's also a really good turkey recipe where you cover it with cheesecloth soaked in wine and butter. No turning required, but you do want to baste it.
