The Greene County Public Library provides the following services for teachers and educators.
Classroom Collections Children's materials prepared by library staff according to your needs for specific reading or age levels, subject areas, or general browsing interests.
Teacher/Educator Card
A library card available to verified educators, home schoolers, and education students who are eligible for a Greene County library card. It allows the patron to borrow and reserve a maximum of 100 items for six-weeks; one week materials are loaned for only one week.
Assignment Alert Form
An easy way for teachers to notify the library that students will need materials for an upcoming project or assignment.
Library Visits
Have your class visit us! We’ll show them how to find materials & other basic library skills. Contact your local library for details.
Classroom Visits
A librarian can visit your class to supply library card applications, share stories, and even meet with a parent’s group to discuss the importance of reading to children. Contact your local library for details.
Bookmobile Visits
Our bookmobile visits schools and features fun reading materials for children in grades K-5. Contact your local library for details.
For Your Students
Students can do their homework using our premium information sources covering everything from leaves and snakes to history and health. We also provide access to the Ohio Public Library Information Network, featuring Ohio news, government, history, statistics, travel and much more.
