Digital Collections

The library offers numerous types of materials which can be checked out and downloaded, including:

eBooks, audiobooks, music, and videos

Access to digital materials is available via NetLibrary and at The Mid-Ohio Library Digital Initiative. Generally, you will need a valid library card, access to the Internet, and free software for the computer and/or device on which you wish to use the material you download.

Please note that digital downloads can be enjoyed at home, at work, or when you travel, but are generally not for use on the computers in the library.

NetLibrary

New Users
First, set up an account with NetLibrary
(In-Library Setup | Home Setup ).

You must be in one of the GCPL locations, OR at home with your library card handy. Click on "Create a Free Account" in the top right corner. This account is not the same as your library account. However, you must have a GCPL library card to access the items in NetLibrary.

alert icon Beginning July, 1, 2008, access to NetLibrary will no longer be available. Downloadable items will still be available through the Mid-Ohio Library Digital Initiative.

After you have an account set up, search for specific titles or see what we offer. Or search our catalog, you'll recognize e-audio titles because they will have the e-audio symbol next to them, as in the example below. From the catalog, click the "website" button to be taken to NetLibrary to download the item you want.
