About the Map

Each marker on the map includes the name of the cemetery (in some cases multiple names if the cemetery has been known by different names); a color-coded icon denoting the township; and a description with directions and other useful information. You can also view the GPS coordinates using Google Earth (See the section on Google Earth below).

Some cemeteries marked on the map are invisible to the naked eye. Perhaps all the stones are gone or the cemetery may have been destroyed or moved. These cemeteries are denoted by phrases such as “extinct,” “destroyed,” or “moved” in parentheses, with an explanation in the description.
